I need $50,000. to stop repossession of my home?
What the best way to sell stuff fast when you’re moving and selling a house?
I know that garage sale is the obvious answer, but I live kinda off the beaten track and don’t get alot of people. And furniture you get nothing for. Anybody try consignment? I have alot of furniture. Quality stuff. What about an auction? Or putting it in the paper? There is just so much to do. I also have stock left from a gift store and I have no idea what to do with all this miscellaneous stuff. Help! Which way is best?
I am a first time home buyer. Does anyone know info. on the House America loan Countrywide offers?
Are there any laws against building a concrete wall right up against your house?
Would it be safe to do it? I’m talking about right up against the house. I’m watching my neighbor doing it right now.. My wife is over there talking to his wife about it and seeing why he is doing it. His house is wooden i think. Couldn’t the wall fall back and cause havoc with his house?? Are there laws against that? I looked but couldn’t find any..Not being nosy just trying to make sure noone gets hurt.
he’s building it like a second skin to the outside wall on the front part of his house..we live in Fl..if that ‘helps’..
my wife’s still over there talking to them.. don’t have anymore ‘details’..

Which is a better way to finance a home as a first time buyer with poor credit?
I am a first time home buyer with poor credit. I would not get approved on my own. A friend has offered to either buy the home and I do a rent to buy contract with them or we could be co- owners. If we are co-owners would they base the approval ammount and intrest rate on his credit? If he has bought a home in the past but I have not- would I get the first time home buyer tax credit if we are co-owners?
What is that dashed red line on the Dow chart at the Yahoo! Finance home page?

Is is possible to get a secured loan in texas for $5000, using house as collateral?
My boss asked me to give him information regarding loans. He wants to get a $5,000 to $10,000 loan. He owns 3 houses (duplexes). He uses 2 1/2 (lives in one) as rental property. However, right now he is in a cash crunch as they are vacant and he wants to fix them up before renting. he is old school – born in 39 and he has asked me to get him some information regarding this. he wants to borrow just around $5,000 – enough to live on and fix up the houses just a bit – he is almost 70 – and he is very tight on money – being born in depression – very concerned about not borrowing too much…..he is out of town and i am trying to get this information for him.
i dont think he wants home equity loan……can he do this secured loan thing? he said he saw where you could use your car as collateral but his car is a 2000 Truck – i don’t think it would work for a $5,000 loan. he was just dumbfounded that owning 3 houses he would have trouble getting a loan. his credit score is 563. he said his bank doesnt even do personal loans. thanks for any help.
We are selling our house at the moment! any tips?
In the current financial climate should I buy my dream home on a bridging loan or is the market too risky?
I have my current house up for sale but no buyer yet. I’ve found my dream home and have secured finance to buy it but I only want to own 2 properties for as short a time as possible. Should I just go for it or should I be more cautious because the property market is in a bit of a slump right now? I live in East Sussex if you think location matters.
How long after purchasing a home can one finance a car?

What are the housing laws in Eire?
Does anyone know of a company that could help stop a foreclosure on our home, with out any money to do so?
I was forced to work part-time because of a tick bite and I was striken with Lyme dieaease. I didn’t think a small insect could do some much harm. Any way, my husband works 24/7, but that is not enough and now we might loose our home. We tried to talk with our mortage co., and we even tried for a hardship loan which was suggested by our own company. They told us NOT to pay our payments for a couple of months and that way it would look even better for the hard ship loan. Then they turned us down and now we are 4 months behind. Little did we know that, I guess some mortage co. will do that so you get behind and loose your house to them. That’s awful!! Anyway, if any one knows of someone that could help either stop the foreclosure (with no money down) or of another way to save our home I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
How hard is it to re-finance a home?
Common law separation, with house and child?
My common law partner of 5 years and I are separating, and not because I chose to.
I was accepted into graduate school in another province. We are Manitoba residents. I wanted him to come with me, he refused. I wanted a long distance relationship until I complete my MA (two years). He refused. So, he has forced a separation. The problem is that we have a daughter (2 years old) and a house that we have owned for two years.
We have already agreed that our daughter will come with me. I thought that we would keep the house as a joint investment until he wanted to move (which he will have to do eventually), and then we would split the income from that sale. I also thought he would rent out the basement rooms to make up the income he would be lacking without me. In return, I was not going to force litigation on custody of our daughter or ask for child support. Now he is saying that there is no way that I will be allowed to maintain partial ownership of the house without supplying half of the mortgage and and utilities. He is threatening litigation.
My question is this: Under federal and/or Manitoba laws, what are my rights in this situation? Do I have any? Can anyone think of any possible recourse? I won’t be able to afford payment on that house with a grad student’s salary and a child to support (not to mention daycare costs), and losing that equity would be a definite disadvantage as well. Any constructive advice would be appreciated.
Sadly, I was never planning to leave him. In fact, I fought to keep us together. I feel pretty betrayed, actually. I wanted to see us continue as friends afterwards, but I’m starting to see that’s not going to happen.
