I want my girlfriend to live in my new house with me, how do I prevent common law status from occurring?

We’re both Canadian, and the home will be in Canada as well… If she pays rent, and for some reason things don’t work out between us long term, is she entitled to half or part of my home? I might sound stingy but I just wanna protect my ASSETS!

Please respond only with answers relating to the law, ethical/moral judgements, irrational or otherwise, are useless. Thanks…

Dont shack up if u cant face the consequences…simple as that. No sex/no common law.
Charge her rent and write her a receipt every month for your records. The rent has to be market value for her portion of the property. Charging her $10 for a 2000 square foot house will never hold up in court.
