Mother and Father in law purchased our house 4 years ago but we pay everything including the mortgage to them. We have now fixed our credit to the point that we are preapproved for the loan. How do we move forward to purchase with involving as few parties as possible.

My common law girlfriend and I have a house and have 5 kids one is 9, 11 ,12,12 and one 14.In the past 2 months she lost her job and stays home.She will not look for a job all she wants to do is stay home than look for a job.She watches TV, on the computer or read books and she is very lazy now.

She started smoking and drinking and this is happing every day in the house. How can I tell her to get a job and smoke and drink when the kids are gone to bad? I don’t what the kids to get interest in smoking or drinking if they see mom doing that every day.

Also she looks sloppy now .Her haire is a mess ,some times do not shower much and she got cheap new clothes that makes her look sloppy now.She used to look nice and cute but now into dressing sloppy .She got 3 new sweatpants , 3 new trackpants , 5 new jeans , 7 new night t-shirts that makes her look sloppy .Around the house or going out in pulic she looks sloppy now , her haire is a mess ,wearing sweatpants ,night t-shirts and flip flops .Or wearing t-shirts,shorts and flip flops.

Before she would get dress up and look nice and never had sweatpants ,trackpants or night t-shirts. She never dress sloppy in the house before or go out in public looking like this.I never seen her wear a t-shirt,shorts or barefeet around the house before or even out in pulic.We gone to store the other day and she was waring shorts ,flip flops and a night t-shirt.These t-shirt make her look sloppy has they are big on her and she never tucks in her t-shirts and should be for sleeping not around the house or going out in public like this.

How can I get her to put the clothes in the trash and get smart clothes and dreess up.This is having a effect on kids has they now starting to dress sloppy .

She being too lazy now and easy on her self.

Can anyone help me with a big problem that I am having at the moment? I live in a terrace house and we have to part outside the house on the street. This is usually ok but one of my neighbours get a lot of visitors and they don’t have any consideration for any neighbours and park where they feel like. Is there anything I can do to stop them?

Any advice would be great. Thank you.

Hi…I just learned that there is a Private Investigator sitting in a car in the neighbours drive-way directly in front of my house – we live in Toronto, Ontario. He was there yesterday and has been there the past few hours this morning. This is making us extremely uncomfortable…are there any laws behind P.I.’s? If I approach him to ask if he’s investigating anyone in my household, will he by law have to tell me the truth? Please fill me in if you know the answers.

*NO, we didn’t do anything wrong (at least not that we’re aware of)
*Why be uncomfortable? because he’s SPYING!!! He’s got cameras and other devices – Being that he’s facing our house doesn’t allow us a feeling of much privacy!!

I have met a woman that wants to move in with me. She does have children, if that even matters. I own my house and have some cars and a boat. If she moves in with me and we DON’T get married, would she be able to claim common law married and be able to take any of my assets from me?

They used to stay with my hubby but they have moved out a long while ago. And yet, they are still treating the guest rooms as their warehouse and I am sick and tired of it. All the storerooms are filled with their stuff. And my hubby does not want to cause any family issues and he said that he feels awkard to bring it up. The house is brought under a family trust fund. Except my hubby’s name, my mother in law’s name is on the title agreement too.

My next door neighbor has invited her sister and her family to move in with her now the 3 bedroom house has at least 10+ people living in the home I want to know if this is against the law and if I can have them all evicted.

My nieghbor owns her home but I would still like to see the house empty of all those people too many kids making noise.

I have lived in N.C for three years now, my g/f lived in S.C., she has now left S.C. and moved in with me after the birth of our little girl. Our relationship has not worked out and I wanted to leave. We are not married and the house, 2 cars, bank account, and tax returns are all in my name only. If I decide to break up, is she entitled to anything? I know N.C. is a not a common-law recognizing state, but S.C. is and that is where she is from. Thanks

My husband and I purchased our house 3 years ago. We used his parents as co-signers. However, they are the ones who own the house. We pay the mortgage and the insurance not them. Right now we would love to refinance, but because we don’t own the house we can’t do it. My in-laws have never had the income to purchase the house to begin with so they can’t refinance it either. Could some one please tell me what went wrong and is there anything I can do to get it fixed…besides having them sell me the house.

I am trying to rent a house in Texas. I am looking to move in just me and my girlfriend soon to be fiance. I was told by three different real estate agencies that they only rent to families/married couples. Can this really be true? Isn’t like saying I am not renting to you because your white? The man that I have lived with for the past 6 years in the state of Texas and I consider ourselves husband and wife, we tell people we are married, we have a joint checking account, we purchased a house together and we filed joint taxes. Are we in the eyes of the law common law married? How do we prove it? And how do I change my name legally on my drivers lic, social security…?
